Tel Aviv: Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee confirmed that sites in Syria were targeted on Friday evening.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the spokesman stated that Israeli aircraft attacked weapons depots in the Latakia area of Syria. These depots contained surface-to-sea missiles, which were identified as posing a threat to both international and Israeli maritime navigation.
The statement further detailed that surface-to-air missile platforms in the Latakia area were also targeted. The Israeli army emphasized its commitment to maintaining freedom of action in the region and its determination to eliminate any threat to the state and its citizens.
