Baghdad: The Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, held an official session of talks with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara at Bayan Palace in Kuwait. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations across various fields to align with their common interests.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions also covered the latest developments in Syria, emphasizing the need for strengthened international community efforts to ensure the country’s security and stability while preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During the talks, both leaders addressed key issues of mutual interest, explored ways to support unified Arab action, and reviewed the latest developments in regional and international arenas.
The visit marks President Al-Shara’s first official visit to Kuwait since assuming office, following an invitation from the Emir of Kuwait.
