Washington: The White House announced that President Donald Trump is optimistic about the progress in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, White House Spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt informed reporters that she had spoken with the president about the matter and he remains optimistic about the developments.

Leavitt emphasized that President Trump is actively working towards peace and is committed to ensuring that the conflict in Ukraine is resolved through negotiations.

The second round of negotiations, which involved Russian and Ukrainian delegations and lasted over an hour, concluded in Istanbul. A Turkish delegation was also present during these discussions.
