Basra: Prices of Basra Heavy and Basra Medium crude oil rose slightly on Tuesday, coinciding with the rise in oil prices in global markets. Basra Heavy crude oil prices increased by 5 cents, reaching $60.42, while Basra Medium crude oil prices also rose by 5 cents, settling at $63.37.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the increase in Basra crude prices is reflective of the overall trend in global oil markets. Brent crude futures climbed to $65.18 per barrel, marking a significant movement in the market. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude oil also saw a rise, reaching $62.11 per barrel.

This fluctuation in oil prices underscores the interconnected nature of global oil markets, where changes in one region can influence prices worldwide. The slight rise in Basra crude prices highlights the ongoing adjustments in the oil industry as it responds to various global factors impacting supply and demand dynamics.
