Baghdad: Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari emphasized the importance of strategic planning over the militarization of streets to achieve security. During an expanded conference at the Salah al-Din Police Command, he stated, “Security does not come through militarizing the streets, but rather through well-thought-out, fruitful scientific planning.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Shammari highlighted that Salah al-Din province, despite being safe, has borne significant sacrifices from its families and sons due to terrorist activities. He credited the defeat of these terrorist gangs to the sacrifices of righteous martyrs who defended the homeland.

The Interior Minister noted that Salah al-Din represents a microcosm of Iraq, showcasing cooperation and peaceful coexistence among various Iraqi sects. He linked the ongoing reconstruction efforts in the province to the presence of security, praising the remarkable security stability achieved through the efforts of the Salah al-Din Police Command officers and personnel. He stressed the importance of maintaining this stability.

Al-Shammari reiterated that security is achieved through scientifically studied planning and intelligence efforts, rather than deploying checkpoints and militarizing streets. He called for the implementation of a regional security system, emphasizing the need for forces to maintain a high level of readiness.

The Minister also instructed the Salah al-Din Police Commander to regularly visit the families of martyrs in the province and ensure they receive their dues, underscoring this as an essential responsibility.
