Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressed the danger of continued escalation in the region, highlighting the need for coordinated regional and international efforts to support negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received a phone call from Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

During the call, the two ministers discussed regional developments following an attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting the threat that the ongoing conflict poses to regional stability. Both emphasized the risk of continued escalation and its potential negative impact on all countries in the region, along with economic repercussions that could affect the global economy.

The ministers also underscored the importance of joint regional and international efforts to support the negotiation process between Iran and the United States, which they believe would help in calming the situation and preventing further tensions.
