Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, asserted that Israel aims to escalate conflict across the region. The Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate released a statement detailing Erdogan’s condemnation of Israeli actions, describing them as violations of international law intended to embroil the entire region in conflict.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan alleged that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is attempting to derail nuclear negotiations through recent attacks. He further claimed that Israel’s aggression towards Iran serves to divert global attention from what he described as genocide in Gaza. The Turkish President expressed profound concern over these developments and the potential ramifications for regional stability.

The Communications Directorate reported that during their conversation, Erdogan and Pezeshkian addressed the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, as well as broader regional and in
ternational issues. Erdogan condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran, extending condolences to the Iranian people for the resulting casualties and expressing solidarity with their plight.

Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s vigilance over developments concerning a potential nuclear leak at Iran’s Natanz facility.
