Baghdad: Israeli forces have launched an attack on one of the Iranian Foreign Ministry buildings in Tehran, leading to injuries among civilians, including Iranian diplomats. The announcement was made by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh, who described the incident as a deliberate act of aggression.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Khatibzadeh condemned the attack, stating, “The criminal Israeli regime carried out a deliberate and brutal attack on one of the Iranian Foreign Ministry buildings, located opposite the Institute for Political and International Studies.” The attack resulted in several civilians being injured, among them diplomats who required hospitalization.
Khatibzadeh emphasized that this incident represents a significant violation, labeling it as a “blatant war crime” and part of what he described as the ongoing systematic aggression by Israel against Iran.
