Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that ‘Iran’s response to the Zionist entity was based on self-defense and in accordance with international law.’

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi stated during a press conference that ‘the Zionist entity crossed international red lines by attacking our nuclear facilities.’ He emphasized that any military development in the Gulf region could potentially escalate tensions in the region and across the globe.

The Foreign Minister further explained that while Iran does not wish to extend conflict into neighboring countries, they are prepared to do so if compelled. “On the first night, we targeted Zionist military sites, and yesterday we targeted the oil refinery in Haifa,” Araqchi said, urging the international community to intervene and halt what he described as Zionist aggression.

He also claimed that the Zionist attacks could not have occurred without the backing of Washington, alleging that Iran possesses documentation of support from American forces in the region. Araqchi insisted that the United States is complicit in these attacks and should be held accountable for its involvement.

Araqchi also highlighted that the Zionist entity is opposed to any nuclear agreements, asserting that recent actions in Natanz are intended to derail ongoing negotiations.
