Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has urged the European Troika-comprising France, Britain, and Germany-along with the European Union to strongly denounce the Zionist attack on Iran, emphasizing Tehran’s commitment to continue its legitimate defense against such aggression.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this statement was made during a joint phone call between Araqchi and the Foreign Ministers of France, Jean-No«l Barrot, Britain, David Lamy, Germany, Johan Vadephul, as well as EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas. The discussion centered on the recent Zionist attacks on Iran.

Araqchi criticized the Zionist attacks as an unprecedented blow to diplomacy amid ongoing negotiations and called for European countries to condemn these actions. He reaffirmed Iran’s stance on maintaining a strong defense against aggression and held the Zionist regime and its supporters responsible for any escalation in conflict.

He further highlighted that Iran remains committed to negotiations but is currently focused on effectively countering the aggression it faces.

The foreign ministers from the European countries and the EU’s foreign policy chief expressed their regret over the current situation, underscoring the significance of diplomacy in de-escalating tensions.
