Tehran: Iranian Judiciary Spokesman Asghar Jahangir stated on Tuesday that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, has not yet officially declared a state of war in the country. Jahangir made this announcement during a press statement, clarifying the current status of Iran’s judicial and military readiness.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jahangir explained that if a state of war were to be declared, the country’s trial procedures and judicial systems would transition into a state of emergency. This change would significantly alter the legal landscape, impacting how judicial processes are conducted nationwide.

Jahangir further noted that all public prosecutors across Iran have been instructed to maintain full preparedness. Their primary objective is to ensure the safety of citizens while dealing decisively with individuals linked to the Zionist regime. These individuals, identified as spies and agents, will face deterrent legal measures, intended to serve as a warning to others.
