Tehran: Videos have circulated showing thousands of Iranians leaving the capital, Tehran, after US President Donald Trump called for its evacuation in a post on Truth Social. Trump said that Iran should have signed a nuclear agreement with the United States, stressing that Iran cannot possess a nuclear weapon.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, amid escalating mutual threats between Israel and Iran, the Iranian capital witnessed unprecedented scenes, represented by a massive influx of civilians fleeing the city. This exodus coincided with Israel’s threats of new strikes that could be “more severe and extensive” than the recent airstrike.
Israel’s Channel 14 quoted a military source as saying, “Tehran will burn,” referring to a comprehensive operation targeting official headquarters and Revolutionary Guard facilities. In response, Iran attacked several areas in Israel with ballistic missiles targeting Haifa and Tel Aviv, while the exchange of shelling continued for the fourth consecutive day.
