Najaf: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, criticized the United States and Israel, blaming them for global tensions and attacks. He labeled Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu, and their predecessors as adversaries of Islam and its sects.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr’s extensive speech, which was disseminated and read by Friday preachers across provincial centers, was delivered from the pulpit at the Kufa Mosque. The sermon, attended by the Iranian consul in Najaf and leaders from al-Sadr’s private office, accused “Jewish Zionists” of attacking the Islamic Republic and other regions such as Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Yemen, under the influence of “madman Trump.”
Following the sermon, a protest demonstration took place against what was described as Zionist aggression towards Iran and American dominance. The demonstration concluded with the burning of the American flag.
