New York: The US representative to the Security Council stated that the Iranian government must abandon its ambition to obtain nuclear weapons.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US representative emphasized that the Iranian government has encouraged Hezbollah to open a front from Lebanon. She highlighted that the Iranian government has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and has attacked Israeli civilians.

The US representative further explained that the Iranian government will gain nothing from escalation against the International Atomic Energy Agency.
