Iranian Foreign Minister Claims Zionist Entity Requested Ceasefire

Baghdad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that we did not request a ceasefire, but rather the Zionist entity did.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Minister added in a press statement, “I told a European party to make it clear to the Zionist entity that any violation of the ceasefire will be met with an immediate response from us.”

He emphasized that Iran has a bitter experience with Washington, which betrayed the negotiating process, and the country’s decision is linked to the interests of its people.

Araqchi clarified that some speculation about resuming negotiations with the United States should not be taken seriously. He explained that Iran has internal discussions and deliberations regarding the interests of its people, which are separate from the negotiations.

The Iranian Foreign Minister further emphasized, “Currently, we do not accept Grossi’s visit to Tehran.” Araqchi also indicated that the damage inflicted on Iran’s nuclear facilities is significant and serious.
