Baghdad: Civil Defense teams have successfully contained a massive fire that erupted in a two-story commercial building housing shops and clothing warehouses in the Bab al-Darwaza Market, located in the holy Kadhimiya district. The fire was brought under control with the assistance of several specialized and supporting Civil Defense vehicles, and no human casualties have been reported.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense Directorate issued a statement highlighting the swift mobilization of their resources and efforts. The Civil Defense teams had to navigate several obstacles, including stalls and closed entry passages, which required them to extend fire hoses over long distances. Despite these challenges, the teams executed direct incursions into the heart of the building and managed to extinguish the fire completely. The operation was conducted efficiently, ensuring that there were no human casualties.
