Basra: The Basra Provincial Council mourned the passing of Muhanna Ismail Badr, known as "Sayyid Salah Al-Battat," a former member of the Provincial Council and head of the Supreme Council in Basra, who passed away today, Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the deceased was recognized for his integrity, competence, and good character, fulfilling his responsibilities with sincerity. The council expressed condolences, wishing his family, relatives, and loved ones patience and solace. The statement concluded with a traditional expression of mourning, "To God we belong and to Him we shall return."
