Al-mashrah: Dozens of residents of Al-Mashrah district demonstrated today to demand their share of water releases, asserting that their share was diverted to Basra Governorate under the pretext of pushing or removing the saline or salt-marsh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the protesters blocked the Amara-Bazarkan road, demanding that the relevant authorities intervene urgently to restore the water supply and secure their quotas to ensure the continuity of agricultural activity and the provision of drinking water.
