Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has directed the formation of a ministerial committee to tackle the delivery of the Kurdistan Region's oil and non-oil revenues, as well as the issue of its employees' salaries and their settlement. The committee is tasked with submitting its recommendations to the Council of Ministers for an appropriate decision at the earliest opportunity.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office released a statement outlining the government's commitment to implementing the provisions of the General Federal Budget Law and the Federal Court's decisions regarding financial obligations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. The Council of Ministers reviewed two papers, one from the relevant federal authorities and another from the Kurdistan Regional Government, focusing on these financial issues.

The statement further detailed that Prime Minister al-Sudani directed the committee's formation, which will be led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning. It will include the Ministers of Construction and Housing, Higher Education, Justice, and Health. The committee will engage with all relevant parties in both the federal and regional governments to discuss the submitted papers. The goal is to allow the Council of Ministers to make timely and informed decisions on the matters at hand.
