Kuala lumpur: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that the Palestinian tragedy in the Gaza Strip represents a significant failure for humanity and an even greater failure for Muslims.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fidan expressed these sentiments during a televised interview on his visit to Malaysia. He described the events in Gaza as painful and unforgettable, emphasizing the need for collective action. Fidan highlighted the responsibilities of Turkey and Malaysia in addressing the situation and commended Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for his stance on the issue.

Fidan warned about the consequences of inaction, stressing the need for unified efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza. He described the conditions in Gaza as dire, likening them to a World War II concentration camp and noted that two million Gazans are enduring severe hardships.

He further commented on the deficiencies of the international system, stating that it was established post-World War II by the vict
orious nations, and continues to serve their interests. Fidan highlighted the reluctance of these countries to relinquish privileges such as veto power or permanent seats on the UN Security Council.

Fidan stressed the need for reform in the international order, warning of potential struggles if changes are not implemented. He urged humanity to learn from history to avoid repeating past mistakes, advocating for a system that better serves the global community.
