Basra: Minister of Electricity, Engineer Ziyad Ali Fadhil, inaugurated three new distribution stations in Basra Governorate today as part of a strategy to resolve power bottlenecks. This initiative, launched by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, aims to enhance the stability of the national system and improve the efficiency of electricity supply in the governorates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Electricity stated that the completed stations include Al-Hawsh Station (11/33 kV) with a capacity of 31.5 MVA. This station has relieved congestion at the Nahiyah and Al-Hamdawi stations (11/33/132 kV) and serves multiple areas in Imam Al-Sadiq District, including Bani Mansour, Al-Huwaishim, Imam Al-Sadiq District, Al-Salumiyah, and Al-Jassim.

The Al-Fatehia Station (11/33 kV), also with a capacity of 31.5 MVA, aims to reduce loads on Al-Zawraa, private mobile stations, and the Ezz Al-Din Salim Station (11/33 kV). It covers vital areas within Al-Madinah District, including Al-Suri, Al-Rafi, Khamisiyah, Al-Batha, Al-Hamad, Huwayr Al-Sada, and Al-Fursan.

Al-Mashab Station (11/33 kV) has been established with a capacity of 2 x 31.5 MVA. The statement emphasized that these stations are significant projects supporting network stability within the districts covered by the plan.
