Body of Young Man Recovered from Tigris River South of Mosul


Mosul: The River Police in Nineveh Province have recovered the body of a young man who drowned in the Tigris River near Al-Bu Saif area, south of Mosul city.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source from the Nineveh Police reported that the young man, who hailed from the Wadi Hajar area, went missing while swimming in the river. Upon receiving the report, the river police teams immediately began a search operation.



The source further mentioned that the search efforts lasted several hours until the diving teams successfully located and retrieved the body. The deceased has been transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department in Mosul to proceed with further legal procedures.
