Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized the importance of the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) adherence to fulfilling its financial obligations in accordance with Iraq's laws and constitution.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a cabinet session, al-Sudani highlighted the implementation of Cabinet Resolution (550), which was adopted during an extraordinary session on July 17, 2025. The resolution addresses the resolution of financial and administrative issues with the KRG, and al-Sudani expressed appreciation for the efforts that led to its issuance.

He reiterated the necessity for the KRG to honor its financial commitments to enable the federal Ministry of Finance to effectively perform its financial duties.
