Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has instructed the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to deliver a report within a month regarding the execution of recommendations from the investigation committee examining the Kut fire incident.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directive from al-Sudani was issued following the presentation of the investigation committee's findings during a cabinet session. The Prime Minister's media office released a statement detailing the decisions, which include the submission of a report on the implementation of the committee's recommendations.
Additionally, an emergency meeting will be convened involving the governors, with attendance from the Ministers of Interior, Health, Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, and Labor and Social Affairs. The meeting aims to address the adherence to safety and civil defense protocols. Relevant authorities have been tasked with ensuring the removal of all safety violations.
