Nineveh: The Nineveh Health Directorate has announced the closure of three caravan hospitals in the city, specifically Al-Jumhuri, Bartella, and the German Children's Hospital. This action comes in compliance with the Prime Minister's orders, following a tragic incident at Al-Kut Hospital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision was made after several patients died in these temporary hospitals, which were found lacking in necessary health standards. Nineveh Health Director Dilshad Shinkali stated, "these facilities were established under exceptional circumstances, but they are no longer capable of providing the required care."

The decision has elicited mixed reactions among citizens. While some residents welcome the closure as a necessary step towards improving healthcare standards, others express concern about the potential negative impact on access to treatment in the region.

In response to these concerns, the Nineveh Health Department is actively seeking temporary alternatives to ensure patients can be transferred to other hospitals within the city.
