Al-Sudani Highlights Importance of Basra Ring Road for Southern Transportation

Basra: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized the significance of the Basra Ring Road as a vital development for improving transportation between Basra, its districts, and the other southern governorates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani inaugurated the implementation of the 89-km ring road project encircling Basra, marking a crucial step in the region's infrastructure development. The project is a key component of the government's strategy to enhance road connectivity, aiming to streamline transportation within the governorate and improve links between districts and neighboring southern regions.

The ring road is a strategic initiative within Basra Governorate, designed to integrate three districts with the governorate center, thus easing travel across the city and alleviating traffic congestion.
