Baghdad: Minister of Culture Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani stressed the importance of empowering women in the fields of culture and arts.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Culture announced that the Minister received a delegation from the Businesswomen’s Council to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and to enhance the cultural role of women across various fields.

Dr. Al-Badrani commended the Council’s initiatives and their efforts to establish effective collaboration with the Ministry. The discussion covered several topics aimed at supporting cultural initiatives led by businesswomen and activating partnerships between the cultural sector and women’s economic institutions, thereby highlighting the significant role women play in advancing the national cultural movement.

The statement further noted that at the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation members expressed their gratitude to the Minister for his warm reception and positive engagement with their proposals. They affirmed their commitment to actively contribute to future cultural activities and projects sponsored by the Ministry.
