New york: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein participated in the high-level ministerial meeting on Palestine on Monday. The Foreign Ministry announced that Hussein attended the meeting titled “Achieving Peace: Consolidating Results and Charting the Way Forward,” which took place as part of the United Nations High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Issue at the UN headquarters in New York.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was led by Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and French Foreign Minister Jean-No«l Barrot. Other notable attendees included UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, and several foreign ministers from UN member states.

The discussions during the meeting focused extensively on supporting the Palestinian cause amidst escalating humanitarian and political challenges. Participants also reviewed regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive solution to the ongoing issues.
