Jerusalem: Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened on Sunday to assassinate Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stating, “We will reach you personally.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Katz made the statement during his visit to the Israeli Air Force’s Ramon Air Base. He was quoted by The Jerusalem Post, expressing a strong message to Khamenei: “If you continue to threaten Israel, our long arm will reach Iran again, with greater force, and this time it will reach you personally.”

Katz emphasized the potential consequences of threats against Israel, saying, “Do not threaten us, or you will be harmed.”

During his visit, Katz commended the fighter jet crews at the Ramon Air Base in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He highlighted their contributions during Operation Rising Lion, where they “opened the skies to Tehran, dealt repeated blows to the head of the Iranian octopus, and warded off threats of annihilation.”

This is not the first time Katz has issued such a warning.
On June 17, he had previously threatened Khamenei with death, suggesting he “could end up like Saddam Hussein,” as reported by The Jerusalem Post.

On July 10, Katz reiterated Israel’s capability to strike anywhere in Iran, mentioning cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, and Tabriz. He warned that “Iranian officials who harm Israel have no place to hide.”

On Tuesday evening, Katz indicated that Israel might consider resuming its campaign against Iran during a situation assessment with senior military commanders.
