Baghdad: Border forces announced the arrest of a drug dealer who attempted to smuggle 10 kg of drugs into Maysan Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a Border Forces statement detailed that as part of the Border Forces Command’s mission to combat cross-border drug trafficking, the Fourth Regiment of the Tenth Border Brigade in Maysan Governorate successfully apprehended a foreign drug dealer. This operation was based on intelligence information and involved setting up a strategic ambush. The dealer was discovered with 10 kg of drugs in his possession.

The statement further mentioned that necessary legal measures will be taken against the individual, and he will be handed over to the competent authorities for further proceedings.
