Baghdad: An Iraqi swimmer has made waves on the international stage as Mohammed Sadiq, a member of the national swimming team, set a new record at the World Aquatics Championships currently being held in Singapore. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sadiq broke the record in the 50-meter breaststroke event, clocking a time of 30.16 seconds. This performance surpassed the previous record of 30.48 seconds, which was held by Iraqi champion Amir Adnan for many years. This remarkable achievement is attributed to the continuous preparation and planning by the national team's technical and training staff. The efforts were supported by the Iraqi Aquatics Federation, highlighting the collaborative endeavor behind Sadiq's success.
