Aden: The sinking of a boat carrying illegal migrants off the coast of Yemen resulted in the death of 68 migrants and the loss of dozens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the United Nations said in a statement that the boat sinking resulted in the loss of 74 people, noting that the bodies of the victims had been recovered.

The Abyan Security Department said, “Security services are continuing to implement a large-scale humanitarian operation to recover the bodies of a large number of illegal Ethiopian migrants who drowned while attempting to infiltrate Yemeni territory on smuggling boats coming from the 9th century.”
