Beirut: The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, confirmed on Tuesday that the United States has imposed dictates aimed at weakening Lebanon by disarming the resistance in favor of Israel. He considered that “the goal of these pressures is to strip Lebanon of its power.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Qassem explained in a speech that “the Lebanese Hezbollah will not agree to any timetable for disarmament proposed for implementation in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression.” He emphasized that any aggression against Lebanon would be met with a missile attack on Israel.

Qassem asserted that Lebanon’s future can only be secured through national partnership and the identification of priorities, free from external influence. He highlighted the ceasefire agreement with Israel, stating it revealed the level of cooperation between the resistance and the state. He noted that Hezbollah adhered to the agreement, facilitating all necessary measures for its implementation without any violations for eight months.

On the fifth anniversary of the Beirut Port explosion, the Secretary-General called for the investigations and trials related to the explosion to be conducted without politicization.
