Anchorage: The United Nations welcomed the summit between Presidents Trump and Putin and the constructive dialogue they held in Alaska. Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, St©phane Dujarric, said in a press statement: "The United Nations has taken note of the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump and welcomes the constructive dialogue between them."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dujarric added: "We have taken note of the summit between the US and Russian Presidents held in Alaska on Friday. We welcome the continued constructive dialogue between UN member states."

Putin and Trump held talks in Alaska early Saturday morning, and the two leaders met at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage. The trilateral meeting lasted two hours and 45 minutes.

The meeting was attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov. The United States was represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative of the President Stephen Witkoff.
