He indicated optimism about reaching an agreement soon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump suggested to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to consider negotiating a deal to end the war in Ukraine. Trump remarked, "Ukraine has to agree, and maybe they won't, and my advice to Zelensky is to make a deal."

The US President, who emphasized the candid nature of his conversation with Putin, acknowledged that there are still a few significant issues that need resolution.
