Gaza city: An Israeli reconnaissance drone crashed in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City after experiencing a technical malfunction, Israeli media confirmed on Saturday. The incident involved an Israeli intelligence-gathering drone.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli newspaper "Gozlim Post" reported that the Israeli army confirmed that a Skylark 3 reconnaissance drone made an emergency landing in Al-Rimal neighborhood due to a technical malfunction. The crash occurred during a military operation, as reported by the Israeli "Kan" channel.
The army later clarified that there were no concerns about intelligence leaks resulting from the incident. The drone, which is a tactical reconnaissance model, weighs around 40 kilograms and has capabilities to fly for up to six hours at an altitude of 15,000 feet, covering a range of up to 100 kilometers.
Following the crash, activists on social media shared a video clip showing several Gaza residents inspecting the fallen drone.
