Dollar Exchange Rate Declines in Baghdad as Stock Exchange Closes


Baghdad: The exchange rate of the US dollar dropped against the Iraqi dinar in Baghdad markets on Saturday evening, coinciding with the closing of the local stock exchanges. Local currency exchange shops recorded a decline in selling prices, as the rate reached 141,500 dinars per 100 dollars, compared to 143,500 dinars for selling and 141,500 dinars for buying earlier in the morning.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Baghdad’s stock exchange closed at 142,450 dinars per 100 dollars. This decline comes amid continued fluctuations in the exchange rate, reflecting the impact of supply and demand dynamics as well as daily market speculations.
