Basra: The second Turkish power generation ship, boasting a capacity of 125 megawatts, arrived at Khor Al-Zubair Port today as part of a government contract aimed at bolstering the electrical power system with more than 250 megawatts daily.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the first generating ship reached the port last Thursday. This development is part of a contract between the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and the Turkish company “Kar Powership,” which specializes in operating floating power plants. The initiative is aligned with the government’s strategy to enhance the electricity sector through swift and interim solutions.
