Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced on Tuesday that it carried out a large-scale security operation in the areas of Al-Kamaliyah and Al-Fadhiliyah, east of the capital, which resulted in the arrest of 103 suspects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted in coordination with Rusafa Police Command, the 1st Federal Police Division, and with support from intelligence agencies. The campaign targeted individuals wanted under arrest warrants in addition to verifying the status of foreign workers.

The statement noted that among the detainees was one terrorism suspect, seven wanted on various legal charges, and 95 violators, including 85 foreign and Arab nationals, for residency violations. The operation also led to the seizure of unlicensed weapons and ammunition.

The command stressed that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and stability in Baghdad.
