Baqubah: River Police detachments in the Diyala Police Command have successfully recovered the body of a young man who drowned in a water project in the province. The incident occurred in the Iron Water Project located northwest of Baqubah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police source informed that the River Police detachments managed to recover the body while the young man was swimming in the project area. The source further stated that the body has been transferred to the forensic medicine department for further examination. An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
