Basra: Joint security forces carried out extensive security operations that resulted in the arrest of a number of wanted individuals and the seizure of weapons north of Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Basra Police Command stated in a statement: “A joint security force from the North Basra Police Directorate, consisting of Al-Hartha Police Department, Abu Sakheer Police Station, Karmat Ali Police Station, the North Basra Emergency Regiment, and Al-Hartha Crime Control Division, with the support of an Iraqi army force, conducted a series of security operations to search for wanted individuals and weapons.”

The statement added: “The operations resulted in the arrest of a number of suspects wanted under various criminal charges, the seizure of various weapons in their possession, and legal action was taken against them.”
