Erbil: A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government is set to visit Baghdad tomorrow to address the topic of non-oil revenues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this visit comes as part of an agreement between Erbil and Baghdad, which involves the Kurdistan Regional Government delivering 120 billion dinars in non-oil revenues to the Iraqi government. This amount is intended to cover salaries for May and June, which have already been disbursed.

Meetings are expected to continue to ensure the delivery of non-oil revenues and address other items, crucial for securing salary payments in the upcoming months. The Kurdish media network, Rudaw, reported insights from a source in the Ministry of Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government, noting that the delegation will include prominent figures such as Omed Sabah, Chief of Staff of the Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers; Kufan Tahsin, Director General of Accounts at the Ministry of Finance; Amanj Rahim, Secretary of the Council of Ministers, along with several directors of the Ministry of Finance.

According to Rudaw, the main aim of the delegation’s visit is to establish a framework for non-oil revenue agreements that will provide a basis for resolving salary issues in the future. A Finance Ministry official confirmed that the delegation is expected to depart tomorrow evening, with meetings scheduled with the Finance Ministry on Thursday.
