Erbil: The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, engaged in discussions with Mohammed Hassan, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the UNAMI Mission in Iraq, to highlight the significance of addressing contentious issues between the federal and regional governments through dialogue and understanding.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency of the Region issued a statement detailing that the meeting covered the political process and the general situation in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. It also focused on the relations between Erbil and Baghdad and the efforts made to find solutions to the outstanding problems between the two sides.
