Baghdad: The US Embassy in Baghdad announced today that diplomat Joshua Harris has officially assumed his duties as Charg© d’Affaires.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy shared on the “Ks” platform: “We are honored to welcome the return of Charg© d’Affaires Joshua Harris to Iraq.” Harris expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely with Iraqi partners and Embassy staff in both Baghdad and Erbil. His focus will be on strengthening the partnership between the United States and Iraq, and advancing US goals within this important relationship.

The appointment of Joshua Harris as Charg© d’Affaires was initially announced by the US Embassy on August 25. He succeeds Stephen Fagin in this role.
