Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he had signed an executive order to change the name of the Department of Defense to the ‘Department of War.’

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump stated in a press release that he had officially signed the order. He noted that the new designation more accurately reflects the role the department plays, especially considering the current global situation.
