Beirut: First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, President of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, inaugurated the second day of the Council’s General Assembly in Beirut, Lebanon. The assembly took place on September 8-9, 2025.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi engaged with the heads and members of the participating parliamentary delegations. He emphasized the importance of establishing the Asian-African Parliamentary Council, highlighting the need to create effective international alliances. This initiative aims to enhance cooperation between Asia and Africa, continents linked by historical ties and shared challenges, as they strive toward a future marked by justice, prosperity, and independence.
