Muthanna: Muthanna Governorate Police Command forces have successfully apprehended a group of suspects involved in an assault on a police detachment performing their duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior released a statement detailing the operation carried out by the al-Soub al-Khabir Crime Control Division, which is part of the Muthanna Governorate Police Command. The division managed to arrest five individuals who were responsible for the attack on the police detachment stationed at Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital. The arrests were made under the provisions of Article 413 of the Iraqi Penal Code. The suspects have been referred to the competent court to face legal proceedings and receive punishment in accordance with the law.
