Baghdad: Government sources revealed that Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, has instructed the National Security Service to take legal action against a man identified as ‘Salam Adel’ over statements deemed harmful to Iraq’s national security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, an authorized security source said on Thursday that the individual in question does not hold any official position in the Prime Minister’s Office, nor is he affiliated with any government entity.

The source stressed that the government will firmly address any attempts to undermine the state’s stability or incite disorder through irresponsible statements, emphasizing the need to respect state institutions and their role in safeguarding security and public order.
