Basra: Basra Police Commander, Major General Latif Abdul-Ridha Al-Saad, announced the arrest of two suspects in the Abu Al-Khaseeb incident, where a car and a house door were set on fire, within hours.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a joint force from Abu Al-Khaseeb Police Station and the Second Regiment managed to swiftly apprehend the two suspects involved in the arson in the Sheikh Ibrahim area of Abu Al-Khaseeb District. The perpetrators reportedly poured gasoline on a Toyota Crown and ignited it, also setting fire to the door of a residential building.
The suspects have confessed to their crimes during the investigation and have been referred to the judiciary, as stated by Al-Saad. He emphasized that any attempts to threaten the security of citizens or encroach on their property will not be tolerated. The swift arrest of the suspects within a few hours of the crime underscores the readiness of Basra Police Command and its commitment to maintaining security and stability.
