Joint Security Operation Conducted by Popular Mobilization Forces and Army in Kirkuk


Kirkuk: A force from the 61st Brigade, part of the Popular Mobilization Forces’ northern and eastern Tigris operations, in coordination with the army, carried out a large-scale security operation northwest of Kirkuk Governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Forces stated that the operation included areas in the districts of Dibis and Hawija, as well as the mountains of the village of Gubaiba. The operation was aimed at pursuing the remaining ISIS cells and strengthening security control in these areas.



The statement from the Popular Mobilization Forces explained that these operations are intended to tighten the security cordon and cleanse rural and mountainous areas of terrorist elements. This effort contributes to enhancing stability and protecting residents from any potential threats.
